The book, Singapore Tamils 200 Volume 2 was successfully launched on Saturday, 22 July 2023 at Umar Pulavar Tamil Language Centre. Former Senior Minister, Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Senior Minister of State, Mr. Tan Kiat How, patrons Mr. Jaleel and Madam Bhanumathi Ramachandra were invited to this event as special guests. Personalities, writers of the volume, and their relatives attended the event. More than 300 guests and volunteers also attended the event. The book launch celebrates the contributions of 180 people to the Tamil language, community welfare, and to the glory of Singapore. This is a sequel to the first volume launched in 2019. Together, both the volumes encapsulate the stories of 280 incredible personalities. STYC thanks editors Professor A. Veeramani, Mrs. Malathi Bala, writers, and volunteers who made this book launch a huge success.
