The Singapore Indian Association at Balestier Road began in 1923. Its main objective is to create social harmony by uniting the various sections of the Indians in Singapore. Apart from organizing its main activities, promotion of sports and family-oriented social activities, it has today grown as an institution contributing to the welfare of the India community, administering a welfare fund to reach out to Indians who are in need of financial aid.
