SINDA Football Club (SFC) is back. The sports programme aims to provide youth aged 13 – 25 years with a platform to be meaningfully engaged while enhancing their life and soft skill sets through 21st-century competencies. Through a series of 5-a-side futsal, SINDA youths will learn values such as discipline and commitment that will mould them to be resilient and work towards achieving their aspirations in the long run.
With the assistance of professional football coaches and volunteer mentors, the youth will not only be playing football but will also be involved in talks and workshops that will address the current issues that they face.
Last month, participants were part of a virtual orientation for SFC where they were briefed on what to expect during the futsal sessions. ‘We have been looking forward to SFC training, and it’s finally going to happen soon! We can attend training once again. Everyone is excited about the first day of the SFC 2021’ – Geethika (SFC Women’s Team)
