Indian Engagement and Development Initiative (INEI)’s objectives were announced at Hotel Grand Capthorne, on the 25th April 2026, by the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth.
Around 600 Indian representatives of the various organisations from Religious, Community. Arts, Social and other groups participated in the forum.
They were addressed by Minister K. Shanmugam, Coordinating Minister for National Security of Singapore, Mr Murali Pillai, Senior Minister of State for Transport and Law, Mr Dinesh Vasu Dash, Minister of State, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Manpower.
INEI aims to concentrate on three key areas.
They are
- Social Upliftment
- Integration and Social Cohesion
- Youth & Leadership Development.
We understand that INEI is an initiative for the community, by the community: Ideas and innovations will be driven from the ground up rather than the top down.
- INEI will help the community to learn from, support, and complement each other
It will also support the vulnerable and disadvantaged in our community.
It will also encourage the adoption of AI and new technologies across cultural, religious, and business sectors to remain competitive.
Another area that INEI concentrates is to groom the next generation of leaders and bridging generational gaps through mentorship.
