The book in English ‘Little India and the Singapore Indian Community: Through the Ages’. written by Mrs: Soundara Nayaki Vairavan was launched on 25.4.2025, by Mr George Yeo, former Foreign Minister of Singapore. Dr Shilpak Ambule, the High Commissioner of India to Singapore also graced the Occasion. The book was launched by the Little India Shop Owners and Heritage Association. Over hundred people attended the event.

It is a coffee Table Book with 187 pages.

This book records since the founding of Serangoon Road in 1822 till this date as how it serves as the commercial and cultural hub of Indians.

The book covers the early businesses of Serangoon Road, social transformation, shophouses, the reasons for the road names, early social life, as when was Serangoon Road got the name changed as ‘Little India’, Festivals in Little India, how it attracts tourists, important centres, challenges in doing businesses in Little India, Little India as a place for all ethnicities, LISHA -The precinct manager of Little India and many more.
