The ‘Let Her Shine!’ ShineSpire Conference served as a platform for Indian female thought leaders and fellow women to come together and build upon each other’s strengths

 SINDA hosted its ‘Let Her Shine!’ ShineSpire Conference, continuing its mission to offer an empowering and purposeful space where women engage in meaningful dialogue in navigating life to build a community that uplifts one another.

Into its 2nd edition, the ShineSpire Conference, which was helmed entirely by women, built upon the 2022 White Paper on Singapore Women’s Development by translating its priorities into action. The programme also featured a keynote address by Minister Indranee Rajah, followed by a panel discussion with her.

 Held in conjunction with SG60, the ShineSpire Conference aligned with Singapore’s broader national agenda of strengthening social cohesion and encouraging active civic participation among Indian women in Singapore. Themed “Building Our Singapore Together”, the Conference reinforced the SG60 pillars of Connect, Care, and Contribute by integrating them into its discussions:

● Connect, by cultivating empathy and compassion to build stronger communities;

● Care, through fostering meaningful relationships and inclusive support networks; and

● Contribute, by encouraging participants to take action and drive positive change in their spheres of influence.

 The Conference brought together 24 female thought leaders and captains of industry, who shared their expertise with the audience through four panel discussions and six thematic talks. These sessions offered valuable insights on relevanttopics such as changemaking, personal growth, and setting healthy boundaries in relationships. Through this, the Conference served as a practical, community-focused platform where women from diverse backgrounds could connect, exchange perspectives, and participate in meaningful dialogue.

Among the speakers at the Conference was Ms Diviya G K, former captain of the Singapore women’s national cricket team, who emphasised the importance of this initiative. “Being part of ShineSpire Conference reminds me how powerful it is when people come together not just to share stories, but to lift each other up. It takes courage to show up as your full self, and spaces like this create room for that. I’m honoured to be part of a platform that values growth, resilience, and real conversations.”

Fellow speaker, Ms Pree Domadaran, founder of Voices for Hire and certified business coach at LifeHikes, added that, “What truly inspires me is that this whole initiative is built by women, for women, with a clear mission to support, uplift, and celebrate women across Singapore. I can’t wait to see the lasting impact we create together.”

SINDA remains deeply committed to promoting equal opportunities for women and has been actively involved in women empowerment programmes. Other initiatives curated for women include Project Athena, a series of empowerment initiatives and workshops for single mothers.

The ‘Let Her Shine!’ ShineSpire Conference was held over six hours at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre and hosted more than 200 attendees.
