Pongal 2026 Celebrations in Little India organised by LISHA (Little India Shopkeepers and Heritage Association)
Little India is now lit with lights marking the celebrations of the Pongal festival in Singapore.
For the Pongal light up that took place on the 10th January, Mr Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Health was the Guest of Honour. Several Community leaders, representatives from the religious organisations and others joined the ceremony.
A vibrant line-up of activities and workshops targeting students, adults, senior citizens, work permit workers, tourists have been rolled out for a month.
Now Little India in Singapore bustles with the sound and sight of Pongal, the harvest festival.
